xAI is getting ready to launch Grok 4, the next major upgrade replacing Grok 3 as their top AI model.
Ahead of the release, sharp-eyed testers on X have uncovered references to several new Grok 4 variants. One of them, "grok-4-prod-mimic," is built for business users, specializing in tasks like data extraction, coding, and text summarization. This version also shows strong expertise in fields such as finance, healthcare, law, and science, making it a powerful tool for enterprise needs.
Another variant, "Grok 4 Code," is described as a “coding companion”, tailored specifically to help developers write and understand code.
Lastly, there’s the standard “Grok 4” model, built for general use. It promises excellent performance in natural language understanding, mathematics, and problem-solving, making it a well-rounded AI for everyday conversations and tasks.
The release of Grok 4 is expected shortly after July 4th, but for now, it looks like Vision and Image processing won’t be included in the first launch.
